13-pouring

Here Greg is pouring the boiling sugar water into the canisters. This process took quite a while, and unfortunately, I spilled a little bit on my first attempt at pouring. Whoops. Thankfully we were pouring right over a grate with a drain, so it didn't matter too much. Once all three canisters were full, Greg put the lids on and shook the canisters up a bit - he said that shaking the hot mixture around created pressure inside that was necessary to pump the syrup out as it went on its way to the tap, where it would be mixed with the carbonated water. Then voila, you've got root beer!
