Who came up with this idea in the first place? Was this some old advertising department exec's strange fantasy? He worked for ages to convince Alvino Rey that hey, if he named his next album "Ping Pong," they could throw a bunch of ping pong balls at two girls and watch them giggle like crazy while swinging paddles around. That's just a little scary, don't you think? Regardless, I think this album has one of the finest typefaces around. Someone really should make a Ping Pong font.
